What is a local move?
A local move is a move that takes you within a 30-mile radius of your domicile and stays within the same state. A few factors determine the cost of a local move.

A local move may take a couple of hours or a couple of days, based on the size and the services requested. GEIPE will perform your move within your requested time frame. We are fully aware of the many factors involved in selecting a moving date, such as closing date; lease expiration, family matters, work schedule, and restrictions of building managements. That is why we give great attention to our customer's moving time requirements.

What is a Long Distance move?
A long distance move is a move that takes you over a 30-mile radius.

Note that a move is considered interstate if the move involves crossing state lines.

Long Distance moving can be a very stressful experience. We at GEIPE are here to ease the stress and make your moving experience as smooth as possible. Our professional sales and moving staff will help you plan and execute your move properly and to make your relocation experience as easy and rewarding as possible.

What is an Estimate of Cost?
An Estimate of Cost begins with the type of move you are performing: local or long distance.

If the move is local, the estimator performs a walkthrough of your home, business, etc. and determines the size of your move, the number of movers, and the number of hours to perform the service. The estimator then provides you with a price.

If the move is long distance, the estimator performs a walkthrough of your home, business, etc. and arrives at an estimated weight and from that a price estimate is determined.

Other charges may be added in for packing, crating, cargo insurance or any other additional services you may require.
